Project Background
The KARENS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was brought to our attention through a referral from a previous client. Their heartfelt mission is “to provide care, comfort, and compassion to animals in need and to advocate for the displaced animals while educating and assisting families.” After an engaging conversation about their goals, we were deeply moved. We could clearly envision the potential of their digital presence.
Project Description and Materials Used
For The KARENS, we developed a mobile-responsive website enriched with custom graphics, optimized photos, and engaging storytelling elements. We also ensured an SEO-friendly design to enhance online visibility and reach.
Problem Addressed and Approach
The KARENS was in dire need of a digital home base. Their existing website was outdated and unappealing, failing to represent their incredible work within the community to aid Detroit’s dogs.
Our approach was to focus on storytelling, to truly highlight the journey of these animals and the impact of The KARENS’ work. We set up case studies on the website to allow visitors to follow along with the unique stories of different dogs as they embarked on their road to recovery.
Project Benefits and Outcomes
The result is a beautiful, mobile-responsive website that serves as an information hub and a platform to direct donors and volunteers. It features an ever-growing list of resources for the community, merchandise availability, events, and outreach forms.
The KARENS’ support system now has a robust home base to amplify their work. This new digital platform enhances their credibility and fosters a sense of partnership with their audience, ultimately contributing to their noble cause.
We’re confident that this newly designed website will significantly bolster The KARENS’ animal advocacy and community education efforts.
